Are all people connected?
In my 42 English class I read The Five People You Meet In Heaven by
Mitch Albom I really liked this book and couldn’t stop reading it when I heard
some reviews from my teacher about the book. The book is about a man named
Eddie that works at an amusement park as maidens he is old and grumpy. The
first chapter in the book talks about what Eddie does the last minutes of his
life. He goes on whit his daily routine and he is an old crippled man. Eddie
dies when trying to save a little girl that is about to be squished by a mechanical
ride that was broken. Eddie goes to a place that seems to be heaven, but he isn’t
in heaven yet.
Eddie meets a blue man that he had seen before when he was
a little boy. Blue man died when Eddie was small he died after he dodged Eddie
whit his car trying to not hit him. Blue man's hart was beating so hard and he
crashed and died. People thought he had a hart attack but actually he died because
of Eddies fault Eddie was playing baseball on the street with his brother Joe
and their ball went across the other side of the street, Eddie ran to get the
ball and that’s when it all happened. The lesson Eddie learned is that all
people are connected. The blue man worked at the amusement park, he was part of
a show that acted in the park. Eddie lived the rest of his life not knowing he
had ended someone else’s life.
I agree with the blue man I also think we are
all connected some people you don’t even exist change your life in an instant
and you never even realize it. Everyone has something in common whit others and
like the blue man I also agree that when someone dies a life is coming to earth
it is destined one life leads to another. I really liked The Five People You
Meet In Heaven and I recommend you to read this book it have an interesting beginning
and an amazing end have fun reading this book. Thank you for reading. (:

What is strength?
Strength is not power its the
ability to understand things your own way. I recently took a strength test (Strength Finder 2.0) in
my 42/43 English classes the results weren’t shocking my top five strengths’
are: 1) strategic 2) achiever 3) deliberative 4) activator 5) individualization.
Its good to
hear that am an achiever even if it comes from a computer, I do consider my
self an achiever because I feel committed to becoming a better student day by
day. I am pushed by my conscience that if I strive to be better I will soon be
a college graduate it might take some time and I want to spend every day from
know, to that moment, building my confidence knowing that I can always by a better
student.
I achieve goals that bring me to bigger goals in life I want to earn a
degree in college and get a good job so I can help my mom whit bills and buy a
house for us to own. I know being n achiever is not easy but it’s easier when
you choose to do what you love. I love to earn money and help my family and I
also love to learn new things in school. College is my first step to achieving
my goals which means my journey has already started and am ready for the skills
I will gain.
Achiever? I am an achiever and every thing I do in school, at
work, or at my house affects my future I rather study for a test than waste
time doing other things.

Comic Con 2012
What is comic con?
The comic con is a 4 day event in the San Diego convention center. Every year since 1970 it is a celebration for comics and movies about super heroes and fiction stories. The SDCC (San Diego Comic Book Convention) is from Thursday to Sunday during the summer.
What is the price of comic con badges?
Well there are a lot of different prices it all depends where you buy it and when. If you want to know you can go to comic-con.com when the badges start going on sell they usually run out fast so if you want to purchase on you should check it out know.
Who attends this event?
Famous people that write comics do live interviews and give autograph to their fans. When I go I usually see actors of movies I never see the directors or writers of the movies and comics which I think is weird but I go to see the famous actors any ways. This year I saw many actors I took pictures with about five of them. I saw about 20 actors in person I thought it was cool to see these people interact with the public.
Who is the audience?
About 75% of the people I see walking around San Diego's comic con are nerds, so I would say that comic con is for geeks most likely. I’m not a geek, but I like to walk around and see what actors I can get autographs from. Anyone can attend if they buy a badge, but if you dont buy a badge you can sitll walk arround outside.
My comic con experience:
I love go comic con I don’t like comics but I like to take pictures with celebrity. I take my little brothers and we walk around you’ll be amazed how many celebrities you see if your lucky I guess I’m always lucky. A good way to have fun at comic con is walk around don’t just stay in one place, just waiting to see if someone shows up you might miss something if you do. I also walk outside there’s a lot of freebees like posters, bottles, stickers, pins, oversized bags, shirts and other cool stuff. It’s fun to go so if you are thinking of going don’t forget a sharpie and a signature book ;). This is my third year attending and i will be there next year. :)

My American Dream (Song)
I choose to be the creator of my life.
I don’t like to be judged, for that reason I
can’t judge anyone. I mean I could but what good would it do?
Bringing people down is the worst thing to do. People try to tell me I can
do certain things or accomplish my goals. Well what is my American dream? I believe
in my self because I know I will be who I want to be not who others tell
me I can be.
Everyone should be the creator of his or her own
dreams. People can be who they want to be as impossible as it looks if you put
your mind in to it. You will be happy with your accomplishments in the long
run. I always thought I could graduate high school even when my teacher told me
wasn’t going to graduate with out passing his class. History has never been my
best subject but I knew I could deal with it for a semester. There was a lot of
people who told me "hey you might pass it next year you probably need to
be a super senior to understand the class." history wasn’t hard but I had
failed it ones and that was my last opportunity to finish it on time, but my
teacher and friends weren’t being supportive.
I remember going home, after my teacher had told
me I wasn’t going to pass his class because I wasn’t smart info. He probably
dint say it that way, but "maybe you need to take this class again next
year till you understand it" wasn’t making me feel any better. In my room I
was thinking of the trouble it was going to be if I was in high school for one
more year. I was listening to the radio and an interesting song came up
"Who Say's" by Selena Gomez the song said "You made me insecure
told me I wasn’t good enough
But who are you to judge" I realized that I
was being insecure I was predicting myself being a super senior just because
people I kept hearing next year over and over. I compared my situation to the
song, was I going to let others tell me what I was going to do or who I was
going to be I had to believe in my self. The last month of my senior year I had
an "A" in the class and I kept it through the end of the year.
I believed in my self I ignored the negative things
people around me where saying. My American dream is to be who I want to be, who
I was meant to be. I will never stop doing what I have to do when others tell
me am not going to be successful. I might not be perfect in the eyes of other,
but I am not trying to be, I know I am. I don’t need anyone to tell me when I
have tried info. I know when I can do better and when I have done my best.

You choose to be...
Being in the Summer Readiness Program I have learned many basic school
stuff like building a plan of what classes I have too take or what are some obstacles
in school I need to overcome for example laziness. Well the first thing I want
to talk about is victims and creators. I have heard the word victim before what
I didn’t know two weeks ago is that I was a victim. I wasn’t born a victim but I
had made my self a victim of my actions. I was putting my self down I was blaming
myself for being lazy by not wanting to go to college.
When I heard my teacher
say you have the choice of being a creator I was confused I thought what is she
talking about I am a creator I do what I want and how I want to do it. But then
she explained that to be a creator I had to think of something that would show
me the reason why I had to attend college. I began to think to my self what am I
doing I cant blame others for my actions I have to set goals for my self and
look for an out come of my downfall I thought I was to good for college but
only the best accomplish there goals. I decided I was going to be a creator for
my own good and satisfaction I am known determined to be a business owner.
Victims
are made not born so you choose who you want to be. It is never too late; so
you choose to be a victim or creator.

The Summer Readiness Program
The last week of my senior year in high school I was told that I would be attending summer classes at San Diego City College in the SRP for first year students. I wasn’t expecting to be in school for the summer specially college I was barely graduating from high school. All my friends, were going to have fun this summer and I was stuck in school i was mad.
The first day of class (one week after I had graduated from high school) was interesting I learned a lot of new things. Since that day I have understood it was for my own benefit. And yeah my friends are probably going to have fun, but so what I was going to smarter then all of them. Now it has been two weeks since I started college and I am learning many new things in college about success. I need to feel success and see success in your future and to do that I have to see myself as a succesfull college student already even if I have been told you cant accomplish your goals. I hope to accomplish all my goals, make new friends, and have fun in the SRP starting a new career for my future.
